About Me

Thanks for visiting and allowing me to tell you a little about myself. My name is  Rosann Whale and I live in the beautiful prairie city of Edmonton, Alberta.

Through the years my creative voice has always found an outlet: using needle and thread, pen and paper, scissors and glue, or paint and brush. For almost three decades I’ve facilitated spiritually-based creative workshops for women and teens, intuitively using elements of expressive arts long before I trained in the field. A favourite quote by Rumi, “Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” continues to guide this next chapter of my life.

Creativity is like freedom: once you taste it, you cannot live without it. It is a transformative force, enhancing self-esteem and self-empowerment”. ~ Natalie Rogers

My work is rooted in the belief that art taps into our own deep wellspring of wisdom and imagination, and becomes the catalyst that guides us towards transformation and healing. Everyone is an artist, and connection to the wonder of one’s own creative process is accessible to all. Given an invitation, regular practice, and a safe nurturing place to do this, the results are often amazing…

A Way of Knowing ~ Deep Play

Soul Medicine.

Through in-person classes, I invite opportunity for building community and creative connections within Edmonton and the surrounding area.  I love to guide others in discovering their own creative voice, and provide spaces for art and soul medicine to unfold.

“We cannot change the world by a new plan, project or idea. We cannot even change other people by our convictions, stories, advice, proposals; but we can offer a space where people are encouraged to disarm themselves, to lay aside their occupations and preoccupations and listen with attention and care to the voices speaking in their own centre.” ~ Henri Nouwen
